Individual Learning Session: Counselling Skills

At the end of this session you will:

  • have an understanding of the three main ‘core approaches’.
  • have an understanding of the principles of counselling and its’ usage.
  • know how to plan a ‘counselling’ session.
The learning objectives in this session link in to the following units:
  • Level 3 Health and Social Care Diploma (including Generic, Dementia and Learning Disability Pathways):
    • Group B – Optional context/specialist knowledge units:
      • HSC 3021 - Understand theories of relationships and social networks
    • Group C units – Optional competence units:
      • HSC 3002 - Provide support to continue recommended therapies
