Group Learning Session: Wound Care

At the end of this session the candidates will:

• Have a basic knowledge of the skin and its functions
• Understand the process by which human wounds heal
• Be able to describe holistic wound assessment
• Know what would be required of them should they be involved in supporting someone for whom a wound management plan is in place
• Have had the opportunity to consider any further learning and development needs in relation to the topics covered
