Individual Learning Session: Substance Misuse - Working with a Child whose parent/carer misuses substances

At the end of this session you will:

• Understand the legal and policy framework relating to supporting children whose parents/carers are substance misusers.
• Understand how children are affected by having parents/carers who misuse substances
• Can recognise the signs that could suggest a child’s parent(s)/carer(s) are misusing substances
• Are able to assess the impact of parent/carer substance misuse on children
• Understand how to improve outcomes for children whose parents/carers are substance misusers
