Objectives

Individual Learning Session: Training Cycle

At the end of this session you will:

  • be aware of the training process of Analysis – Design – Delivery – Evaluation
  • understand the need to develop individual learning and personal development plans for all staff
  • know the importance for organisations to develop coordinated and well informed training strategies and policies
  • have identified their role in developing and sustaining a learning culture in the organisation
  • know the importance of consulting and involving hands-on staff and service users to enable them to contribute to the critical evaluation of training and its planning and development
The learning objectives in this session link in to the following units:
  • Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities:
    • Optional Units – Group B:
      • SS OP 3.7 - Support individuals to access education, training or employment


  • Level 3 Health and Social Care Diploma (including Generic, Dementia and Learning Disability Pathways):
    • Group C units – Optional competence units:
      • SS OP 3.7 - Support individuals to access education, training or employment


  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for HCS and CYP: Children and Young People’s Residential Management:
    • Optional – Management units:
      • O30c - Facilitate coaching and mentoring of practitioners in health and social care or children and young people’s settings
